Fake Friendster Website

Just this morning while I was searching for some Friendster news when I accidentally mistyped the name Friendster as “Freindster”, and guess what? It showed me a bogus website identical with that of the authentic Friendster.com. I would like to warn everyone to be very cautious when searching the keyword “Freindster” (mistyped) at Google which it will show you the bogus site Freindster.uni.cc as the first search result. Never to supply your email and password using that site or else they can get hold of your email and sell it to spammers. Even worse, they can access you Friendster account and steal whatever info you have in there.

Warn your friends by letting them know about this article.

Thanks to Abe for helping me spread the news.

anti-profile

I got this idea from a friend who was really pissed off because she cannot properly view someone else’s Friendster profile. I believe we do share the same sentiment. Friendster has become a huge honey pot for the teen users of the internet particularly those living in the asia-pacific region. However, this trend also brought with it some unavoidable annoying characteristics. One of it are those junk littered profiles full of flashy videos, glitters, and codes. I’m starting to wonder if this is the new breed of spam on the internet.

Why Spam?

- It proliferates like a wild fire causing havoc on almost every Friendster profile.
- Destructive, it causes browsers to lag and it eats huge amount of bandwidth all for the purpose of showing off.
- Irrelevant, we already have Youtube and all of those sites. We don’t care or need to know what vids are your favorite.

If you share the same sentiment, join me as we let the Friendster people know that we hated those flashy profiles and we want the good old Friendster service to return.

WHY NO TO FLASHY FRIENDSTER PROFILES?

- To shorten the loading time of our
Friendster profiles.
- To avoid crashing of our internet
browsers.
- To avoid internet lag due to excessive
bandwidth use by vids, music, and codes.
- To make our profile more accessible
and readable.

Please repost this code somewhere else and let the others know.

I’m a Filipino and I think living in a place with groups of islands scattered all over the country is worth visiting. I’ve been to some provinces but there’s a lot more for me to see. I’m gonna be needing a year or two to visit the entire country for me to get a grade of A+ at Lakbayan. Neah.. Maybe in my dreams..

I had the chance to talk to a co-member of Pinoywarriors.com who happens to be the admin of Cliptubes.com. I asked him some Wordpress stuff and he gladly shared some tips. Pretty nice guy like most of the members of the Pinoywarriors community. We ended up sharing backlinks for SEO purposes.

Here’s a screenshot of his viral site which as what I have observed, it is a site full of sexy video clips.

You can also check his second url Dalipit.com if you’re into funny videos.

Sometimes our MS Office won’t perform normally because of a corrupt or missing file/s and we begin to panic because our boss needs us to submit a report ASAP. Never fear, MS Word has a built-in repair wizard that easily repairs your entire MS Office files. All you need to have is a copy of your MS Office installer somewhere near you. It can be from a MS Office CD or a copy inside your disk.

Now do this,

1. Open MS Word
2. Go to Help and select Detect and Repair…

repair

3. Exit all of your running applications except your MS Word.
4. Click the start button and follow the instructions provided by the wizard.
5. Wait for the whole process to finish.
6. Restart Windows after the reinstallation of your MS Office is done.

This tip is tested using MS Office 2000 on a Windows XP platform.

Early this evening I talked with a fellow bisaya who administers the Mindanao-Online forum. They say first impressions do last. I think the saying proves to be true after talking with this guy named ^beer^ (his IRC nickname). He offered me free hosting without any hesitation or in visayan word “duha-duha” and he’s doing it for a good cause or in his own words “just trying to help out”. The guy seems to be nice and cool, the same with his forum. In my opinion, Mindanao-Online represents the cities and the people of Mindanao. It is a comprehensive website that strongly reflects the island and it’s inhabitants. My words are limited so might as well discover Mindanao-Online yourself.

If you’re from Mindanao or if you have plans of visiting the island try to stop by at Mindanao-Online.

Don’t you know that Firefox has a hidden quote which I think is pretty cool and maybe inspiring?

Here’s how to find it

Open your browser and type “about:mozilla” w/o quotes.

The browser will then display a page saying…

And so at last the beast fell and the unbelievers rejoiced.
But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird.
The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire
and thunder upon them. For the beast had been
reborn with its strength renewed, and the
followers of Mammon cowered in horror.

from The Book of Mozilla, 7:15

So what is this quote all about?
