Search Free Mp3s at Phildirectory.com

phildir

My bro told me that it’s best to look for free mp3s using phildirectory.com. I guess he’s right, I tried to query some keywords and it showed me a number of relevant results which I find surprising. But, what fascinates me the most is the straightforwardness of the site. Anyone can access it and search for mp3s without completing any requirements, like registration and forum posting. You can also open their top links to view the most popular queries done by visitors.

By the way, please support the artist you like by buying a copy of their album or songs. Thank you!

Nokia Battery Saving Tips

Nokia

I just bought a new brand new Nokia 6070 phone and I am looking for ways on how to improve its battery life from the maximum 3 hours talk time to even a little longer. These are the ways I can think of juicing up this baby and other Nokia phones with similar features. Any feature uses power so in theory, lesser features equals more power saved.

1. Disable phone vibrates - This feature is popular when used during those times you don’t want to be disturbed by an incoming call or message. I don’t feel like using it because it seems pointless.

2. Disable keypad tone - I can still use my phone without this feature.

3. Disable camera shutter - Who needs to hear you taking pictures?

4. Disable startup tone - No significant purpose at all.

5. Disable ring lights - This is the feature wherein the lights will blink in rhythm with the tones of an incoming call/message. Use this if you like to watch your phone blink like Christmas lights. hehe

6. Use dimmer background lights - Lesser lights means lesser power consumed.

7. Enable power saving feature - Turns off the background and background lights when not in use and displays the clock instead.

The built-in camera, radio, and games can suck your batteries dry too. So, watch out!

How-to Quickly Find Your Recently Created or Modified File

These days, with the growing pile of files inside our hard disk, we can easily misplace files or forget their filenames. Luckily, there is this little Windows feature we often missed, and it’s the Arrange Icons by Name, Size, Type, Modified, Picture Taken On, and Dimensions.

What do these features do?

    Arrange Icons by Name
arranges your files in an alphabetical manner. This is useful when you can remember the first letter of the filename.

    Arrange Icons by Size
arranges your files from the smallest to the biggest file size. Usually the icons and txt files will be in the first line followed by the larger file types like exe and bmp files.

    Arrange Icons by Type
groups your file names according to its file type. This is useful when you are looking for two or more similar file types.

    Arrange Icons by Modified
lines your files according to the dates of your file. Recently created or modified files will be lined up in the first row while the older files in the last.

Arrange Icons by Picture Taken On
arranges your digital pictures in the order in which you took them with your digital camera.

    Arrange Icons by Dimensions
picture files are grouped according to their resolution. Picture files are lined up starting with files which has smaller dimensions.
