How-to Send Free and Anonymous SMS
Would you like to send a FREE SMS to your distant friend or a secret crush? There is actually a simple way to do this using a free email service that has email-sms sending capability.
Ok, here’s how you do it.
1. First go to Another.com
2. Sign up for a one month free trial
3. Login and follow this instructions
- Go to ‘Mail’ and then ‘Create New Mail’
- In the ‘To’ field enter the mobile phone number and put @sms.sms or @sms after it, e.g.
07123456789@sms.sms or 07123456789@sms
- You can enter a mobile number for your message to come from ‘SMS Reply phone’ field.
- Type a message (no more that 160 characters). A counter will appear above the message box.
- Then click on ‘Send’
That’s all it takes to send your FREE SMS
However, I don’t have a list of supported cellular networks so go figure it out yourself. Lucky for Globe and Smart users in the Philippines, I’m sure they’ll love this. I just hope they don’t abuse this to the extent of making the service unavailable.
