How-to Make A Quick List of Your Installed Files

Part of making backup copies of my document files before reformatting my disk is to make a list of my installed program files for future reference. This also helps me record what drivers and hot fixes I have and I’ll need, the next time I reformat my disk.

Here’s how I make my list.

1. Download and Install Crap Cleaner
2. Run Crap Cleaner then go to Options
3. Go to Uninstall
4. Click the Save to text file… button
5. Save the txt file and keep a copy of it on the web or somewhere else.
